What is Boots on the Bayou?
BOTB is 2 days and nights of music and fun located in Gonzales, LA. This is a new festival and you can learn more about the fun we have planned on the Highlights Page of this website.
What is the minimum age to attend?
All ages welcome.
Children aged 4 and under are admitted FREE if accompanied by a pass-holding parent or guardian. We cannot admit more than 1 children per supervising parent or guardian.
What are the entry requirements for guests?
The following conditions are for guests entering the venue:
- All guests must have an official BOTB wristband worn on their wrist.
- All guests and their belongings are subject to search.
- Any prohibited item that is surrendered to security at search points will not be returned.
- Allowed and prohibited lists are subject to change.
- No unauthorized/unlicensed vendors allowed in or around the venue.
- BOTB and private security personnel at the entrances reserve the right to make the final determination on allowed and non-allowed items.
Do kids get in free?
Children aged 4 and under are admitted FREE if accompanied by a pass-holding adult. Due to safety concerns, we cannot admit more than 1 child per supervising adult.
What time does BOTB start each day?
Parking Gates open at 8 AM each day. We are developing a line-up for our Tailgate Parties which will have 3 artists each day starting a 9 AM and ending at 12.30 PM, check our social media or Highlights page on this website for the line-up announcement. The primary festival grounds gates will open at 12:45 each day. Lineup, set times, festival hours and venue hours are subject to change.
Is re-entry allowed?
Yes. But hopefully you remembered to bring everything you need.
Is there parking at the festival?
Plenty of parking, which can be purchased on this website. We have 2 VIP lots and a General Parking lot which are all pretty close to the festival grounds. All passes are 2 days. We suggest you come early and enjoy some of the events we will have going on at Lamar Dixon before the festival starts to avoid heavy traffic times.
Is BOTB a cashless event?
Yes, BOTB is a cashless festival.
ACCEPTED CREDIT CARD PAYMENTS:
Visa, Mastercard, American Express, Discover.
The following card types are accepted:

How many stages will there be?
One stage within the festival grounds, one for the tailgate party.
What can I bring to the festival?
- Liquid sunscreen, in non-aerosol containers
- Bug Spray, in non-aerosol containers
clear backpacks, bags, and purses (no larger than 12” x 6” x 12”) - One-gallon clear plastic freezer bag (Zip-top bag or similar)
- Fanny Packs are allowed
Small clutch bags approximately 4”x6” - Standard size fabric camping/outdoor chairs without the bag
- Blankets (30″ x 70″ or smaller)
Sunglasses and hats - One (1) EMPTY non-glass water container up to 32 oz.
- Prescription medication must be in a package with a printed prescription label, may only be in a dosage equal to the duration of the Festival. Over-the-counter medication is allowed in its original, factory-sealed container.
What items should I leave at home?
- Tents, umbrellas, or temporary structures of any kind
- Weapons, knives, or firearms of any kind, including any item that can be used as a weapon may not be brought on to Lamar Dixon, including cars and RVs that will be on site for the festival.
- Narcotics, including marijuana, drug paraphernalia and any other illegal substances
- Backpacks, cinch bags, briefcases, purses, or bags allowed except bags made of clear plastic, clear vinyl, or clear PVC not exceeding 12” x 6” x 12”
- Alcoholic beverages of any kind
- Drones or any other remote flying device
- Kites
- Glow Sticks
- Focused light devices, including laser pointers
- Refillable vapor or electronic cigarettes
- Marker pens and spray paint
- Air horns and/or megaphones
- Items intended for sale/promotion (including flyers, stickers and posters)
- Water guns, water balloons, and/or any other kind of water projectile
- Outside food or beverages
- Skateboards, rollerblades, hoverboards, scooters, bicycles, wagons and/or motorized carts or Scooters
- Fidget spinners
- Bicycles inside festival grounds (bike racks will be available near the entrance)
- Large chains or spiked jewelry
- Fireworks, sparklers, firecrackers, and/or incendiary or explosive devices of any kind
- Coolers of any kind
- Pets (REQUIRED service animals with current rabies vaccination excepted)
- Video equipment of any kind (including personal camcorders and GoPro cameras)
- Professional photo equipment (SLR/DSLR cameras, detachable/removable lens cameras)
- Audio recording equipment of any kind
- Portable audio equipment of any kind
- Professional radios or walkietalkies
- Flags and/or flagpoles
- Selfie sticks
- Stroller wagons
- Any item that can be used as a means to disturb the peace, endanger the safety of the crowd, and/or inflict damage to people and goods

Can I bring a bag/backpack?
Clear bags/backpacks no larger than 12” x 6” x 12” are allowed inside the festival. All bags will be thoroughly checked.
Can I bring food inside the festival?
Reasonably priced delicious food and drinks will be available on site. More information about the food vendors and options will be released prior to the festival. No outside food or beverages are allowed.
Is there a Lost & Found?
Yes, lost and found will be located at the West entrance.
Will there be bike parking?
Yes, bike parking will be available at the West entrance area.

How do I apply to be a vendor?
We are now accepting Craft and Food Vending applications for BOTB, please email [email protected].
Now Craft Vendors may submit applications here and Food Vendors may submit applications here. Please complete the application by June 20, 2025, and you will be contacted if further selected. Please note that you have already contacted us there is no reason to contact us again we will be in touch!
